Love photography, film, music, tech, gadgets, walking round cities and beer in the sunshine.

Was on twitter as @ben_blt but they wouldn't let me have the underscore here.
I remember it really struggling to get a release at the time. But the cast, crew, costume, production design, etc were all amazing. Loads of different types of fake snow in the thirty degree Spanish heat.

Given the star power alone, you'd think this would have had a revival by now on streaming. I assume it's a rights issue? Or the contentious content? Either way, it's an example of why I'm reading through these old Empires - discovering films which I wouldn't otherwise know or about or see.

I haven’t watched it in years, I remember it being pretty good with some fairly trippy bits. There was a great shot with a contra zoom at the castle gates as it burned to the ground. I’ve got the dvd somewhere, I’ll have to dig it out and watch it again.

That’s weird, I worked on ‘The Mummy Returns’ as well, a few of the camera crew from this also worked on ‘The Reckoning’.

I worked as a camera assistant on this and wondered if anyone else would ever watch it. The set was amazing as they created a whole medieval town in the south of Spain with a castle. Most memorable sequence to film was Willem Dafoe performing an amazing yoga routine. What did you think of it?
