Really fun show last night at Brooklyn Steel. Michael Shannon does a fantastic Stipe, and the band is tight. But the last song, Pretty Persuasion, pic below... well, that was REALLY cool. I mean, that second Stipe impersonator was spot on.

A little early for St. Patrick's Day, but here's some bangers and onion gravy over colcannon to get you in the mood.

Listen, if you're left leaning we don't have much right now. We gotta test the waters and see what works. Economic blackout day tomorrow is a litmus test. If you gotta buy something, make sure it's local. One day. Easy. Maybe powerful.

As usual, I'm rooting for the food. My take on Philly roast pork sammiches.

There it is! Predictably despicable, the calling card of our asshole in chief. In the span of two minutes he attempts to assign blame for yesterday's air disaster on DEI hiring AND somehow the Biden administration.

Elon Musk has publicly called out Wikipedia for noting his hand gesture controversy, so it's time to donate if you aren't already. If anything, Wiki is closest to what journalism used to be, albeit crowd-sourced. It has no agenda other than providing facts.

If Mariann Budde’s sermon earlier this week—in which she addressed Donald Trump, personally and directly—came across as radical, that just says something about the times we are in, the bishop says.

Fantastic show at the Ridgefield Play House in Connecticut last night. Dude does ABBEY ROAD in its entirety, just him, an electric guitar, and an acoustic guitar. Then threw in a few originals. If you've never seen Sexton live and need a little unadulterated joy in your life, go.

This move erodes US ability to criticize China for its transparency during COVID. We should serve as global leader for providing clear, actionable, timely and transparent data and information. This is what democracies should do.
More cases of H5N1 are occurring in the United States than in any other country. Pausing our health communications at a time when states are scrambling to contain this virus is dangerously misguided. This will make America less healthy and will worsen the virus’s economic tolls.
NEW: The Trump administration has instructed federal health agencies to pause all external communications, such as health advisories, weekly scientific reports, updates to websites, social media posts, according to officials and others familiar. Our story.
