Part of the issue is that PVCC is in the County, so they have to pay for the service there if they want it. This year they did! So CAT is trying to get the new stop locations identified right now and aiming to roll out the service change next Spring.

The County was working on this plan a couple of years ago. One of the missing parts of their plan was the lack of pedestrian facilities between Druid Ave and the county boundary. So the City built that sidewalk you are standing on.

CAT is literally doing planning right now to realign Route 2 so that it serves PVCC, which will double the amount of transit service. Who at the City are you arguing with?

So everyone is mad at Jay Jones for recycling a joke from the Office? I don’t remember anybody giving a shit when the butt of the joke was Toby

What I love about this is that it is both correct and has a preface lets you know what to expect about a take breaking down in exasperation

There must be a better way to do this. Read more in “One Problem, Two Responses: What Philly and Charlottesville Reveal About School Transportation" on our site! buff.ly/fx8eHKZ

Dropping off and picking up a kid from school is one of the most frustrating parts of a parent’s day.

But it’s also often the most dangerous part of a kid’s day.
Screenshot of the Apple Notes app with three things to do instead of car pick-up lines for school.

Sweep the Astros: middle fingers raises to the sun, screaming and lighting something on fire, eat it
Sweep the Rockies: thank you for your sacrifice, wise spirit animal, your essence and history of improbable streaks into the post-season will sustain us

Mariners announcers are apologizing to the Rockies, saying the Ms are having the best time and they don’t mean to rub it in that the Rockies are bad and that they understand.

Oh, what’s that? Time to check in on the AL West division winner Seattle Mariners and their 60(+?) homer switch hitting MVP catcher with a big ol butt? Don’t mind if I do

Nice night in with a bottle of wine, put on some downhill road cycling videos, crane my neck and go oooooh as they go around corners really fast, please don’t tell me new information

Pretty cathartic to cook something that is big and takes time on the weekend with the knowledge that it will result in amazing leftover meals throughout the week

Probably overcooked the boneless leg of lamb, but still incredibly delicious and a fun test of the smoker. Already ordered more meat (pork shoulder and short ribs) for my next experiments. I’m gonna make a lamb sandwich this week that is gonna be bonkers.

Haven’t done a long cook on a smoker in a while, time to see what this new pellet smoker can do
A boneless leg of lamb, rubbed with black pepper, salt, garlic powder, rosemary, and cinnamon, at the beginning of a long cook on a pellet smoker

Strongly recommend working in a fresh baguette from Marie Bette and the best salted butter you can find into your weekend routine to stave off the longing for French bread culture. Not as cheap as it is there, but hits the spot

Is there a bar/restaurant in Cville that could become the Saturday/Sunday morning (7-12ish) spot for watching bike racing broadcasts? Bonus points if easy to access by bike and double points if I can have bread and butter and coffee

I could rant about this misstep the region/UVA had made for decades, but instead will spread the good news that TJPDC is starting a project aimed at reducing VMT that is very much going to look at these travel patterns and opportunities to move them out of cars

I didn’t say bike or walk because I already assume they don’t think their employees or students live nearby. The median commuter in their minds lives 15+ minutes outside of town by car.
