Friends will remember Oreo having a life threatening incident starving for air from a lung infection. Touch and go for a number of days. He's been on two antibiotics for the past two weeks and his lungs have cleared.
The good thing... He's no longer afraid of me. A wonderful gift.

Couldn't even get near him.
Tonight, I visited and he purred again as I stroked his side and head! This is HUGE!
He's now sitting up, moving about, began eating, drinking and dropped a poop in the kittybox.
I think he's going to make it and realized that we are his protectors and that I'm OK.

Couldn't even get near him.
Tonight, I visited and he purred again as I stroked his side and head! This is HUGE!
He's now sitting up, moving about, began eating, drinking and dropped a poop in the kittybox.

I've saved this to read at a later date. We recently lost poor Zot to kidney failure and I just can't deal right now. She was a love. We miss her so much.

Zot crossed over the Rainbow Bridge at 01:30 Monday. She fought a valiant battle, but eventually stopped eating - her weight dropping to 4 lbs. Our brave little girl will be sorely missed.

Zot crossed over the Rainbow Bridge at 01:30 Monday. She fought a valiant battle, but eventually stopped eating - her weight dropping to 4 lbs. Our brave little girl will be sorely missed.

He's my guardian. First thing in the morning when I open the window to the cat flap, he goes out into the kittenclosure to make sure it's all safe for everyone to go out.

So sorry for your loss. We have them not infrequently, due to so many in our care. Still, he looks like a twin to our Oreo, who serves as our avatar personality.

Zot, at only 4.6 lbs., is getting antibiotics for upper respiratory infection, fighting kidney disease with daily sub-Q fluids, special food and lots of love.

Our long-standing Allegany Artisans Studio Tour, on the 18th and 19th, now end up coinciding with No Kings #2. As such, we'll have to be in the glass studio hotshop, as opposed to showing our support.
