The quote of the night for me was from a member of the Rising Voices choir (for people affected by problematic drug or alchohol use), "the opposite of addiction is connection". Connection was abundant last night - within the ensembles, between the ensembles and with the audience.

The most heartwarming event I've been to in 2 decades at St George's - last night's High Sheriff concert organised by Richard Pendlebury was outstanding: Rising Voices, Preludes Music, Changing Tunes and Dovetail Refugee orchestra were in equal measure utterly brilliant. There is hope in the word!
