I have really been resisting American history books framed around "what happened" in favor of books that are illuminating "what has always been there" BUT this one is one of the best narratives of 'what happened' in the 1990s

they had a lot of great people in the series. the problem was the end. my god. I still can't remember the French guy's name they announced was the killer but I do remember laughing out loud in my kitchen when Rob said it!!! HAHA
