Two years in a row, I'm impressed as hell by David Jonsonn -- an absolute stand-out who deserves a supporting actor nod. 2024, he killed it in Alien: Romulus. 2025, he's the heart of The Long Walk, a film that's stark and moving -- about an authoritarian regime grinding up the underclass.

I'm seeing a lot of "Best Of" and "Top 25, 10, 5" lists coming out, and here's an underloved 2025 horror film I think deserves more of a spotlight. "Abraham's Boys" (currently streaming on @shudder.com ) is an elegantly shot, patiently paced family drama that burns with paranoia and creeping dread.
