I'm a GenX guy living in mid-Michigan. I work in IT for a health system. For kicks I enjoy tabletop role-playing games, fiddling with tech and playing music (mostly on guitar). You can find links to all of my things at: https://benjaminterry.com/
It's a long way to the Amulet of Yendor...

Watched Tron: Ares on Sunday. It was some fun, groovy sci-fi. Reading stories on the internet, listening to the Nine Inch Nails soundtrack. Loved the original back in the day. Sometimes it feels like the sci-fi of my youth is really coming in...

1:10a, Carson gas station, kids yell out to me "Fix that greasy assed hair (n-word)!" over and over while laughing at each other. Wake up to grab a package from the post-office during the one hour it's open that I'm not working (Sat 9:30-10:30a). Fortunately it was not fragile goods.

My Mom is apparently doing some spring cleaning around their house. She uncovered some of my old VHS tapes and asked if I wanted them or she could trash them. I have 2/3rds of these on DVD, so it's all good. Sorry Kung Fu Ninja 4-Pack. I loved your name...

I've played in the Rainy City using a few game systems. Some of my favorite characters ever. Jaelin the Charmer (a homely yet grandiose elf living the good life) and this gal, Beatrice Featherwick, new pupil at a re-founded College of Magick.

Also, I miss how possible it was to wander into a record store and find compilations with art like this. Liner notes by Steve Albini.

Damn, everywhere already sold out of these. Do I need a recreated Rockman? Not really, but I can't help but want it for those over-produced sounding '80s tones. It's the guitar equivalent of the guy who thinks he needs a TR-808.

Kinda crazy how much of American music, and the instruments of the Dobro, Lap Steel and Pedal Steel all come out of the Hawaiians getting a hold of some guitars. This minty green Gretsch has some groovy era vibes. Hope the classic sounds and moves aren't too hard to pick up.

I've historically been bad with these "Do a thing in a month!" jams. November brings #nagademon , which is a pretty wide open game jam for November. I have the first week of November off too. I'll work up my "High Point Rangers" space opera #ttrpg idea and see where a push might get me.

Now I'll never get that licensed celebrity endorsed ad campaign for the product I always believed deserved a proper launch.

Much better than the follow-up movie. 5 boring horny guys fly to the 13th moon of Jupiter, which looks like your back yard. There are 13 sexy Greek style maidens there. An unexplained guy in a monster mask is defeated & now the maidens want Earth husbands. The end.

I had a movie itch that needed scratched. Never had seen it, but it did the job well enough. Beginning was best. Then they settled into Vasquez Rocks. No Gorn, yes stop-motion dinosaurs.

Sometimes lately I stay after work to work on an RPG project, because the desk and environment I think put me in a more productive state of mind. Roughly mocking up a silly cover is enjoyable, but it doesn't get me through finalizing a set of styles and maneuvers, the actual important part.

I'm more of a player and don't GM like my friends @adevenney.bsky.social or @richforest.bsky.social do. A mere 29 RPG sessions run in ~10 years. Co-GMing some DC Heroes now, but wonder what will strike me next...
