It is insulting of the provincial government to equate the removal of a bridge toll in Halifax-Dartmouth (which benefits people who can afford car ownership) and a tiny reduction in a consumer tax to an essential support for low-to-median-income households. It is a reverse Robin Hood maneuvre.

New bike lane on Brunswick Street – soon to form part of a continuous, 1-km protected bikeway from the Halifax Common to the Central Library 🚴‍♂️ #BikeHfx
A freshly paved, two-way bike lane on the western side of Brunswick Street in downtown Halifax, just opposite the old library. The bike lane is fenced off, but the sidewalk remains open. The adjacent street is closed and under construction.

Climate change is coming for our food. Blueberry yields are down in Nova Scotia by over 50%. Wild blueberries are Nova Scotia’s most valuable export crop,….until they’re not.

I eat local blueberries every morning so this hurts.
