With Claude Code, I created a text-based mouse GUI that simulates a 1984 Macintosh

Drag-drop icons, scrollbars, resizable windows, menus

Five working apps: MacWrite, MacPaint, Terminal, Calculator, and Puzzle!

Telnet to port 1984 or use the web terminal link below:

Is there a special technique for avoiding 3D printing filament tangles like this? This has happened twice now and ruined two prints, but interestingly, it was the same spool both times

Violent Checkers v1.1 is up now with a two-player mode, three CPU opponent difficulty levels, and improved mobile support: www.bxfoundry.com/violentcheck...

I am training better computer players in the background using genetic algorithms as we speak, so expect improvements in difficulty soon!

My daughter has been having trouble waking up on time for school. Her iPhone alarm is too easy to dismiss while asleep.

Solution? Pull out my classic Cosmo Time and put it across the room. This thing got me through all my school years 😂

My wife got me a 3D printer for Christmas and this always happens. It prints maybe the first layer then kind of goes to hell. Any way to fix it?

It’s the day after Christmas, and you know what that means: It’s Valentine’s Day!

My bro stole the White Album so I got a new copy but these are my mom’s Sgt. Pepper’s and Magical Mystery Tour from 1967

Has anyone ever figured out why the search feature in the iOS Settings app is so terrible

Can someone help test a new game mode for Card Miner? I am experimenting with letting players collect cards found in the dirt rather than just auto-collecting with every dig

You can toggle the mode (Always/Placed) on the start screen! Let me which mode is more fun 😁

Can someone else jump on this Christmas Roll-Up multiplayer server in their desktop browser and let me know of you can see me talking to you?

I'm trying to get it ready for my kids to play with their friends. You win by rolling up the Xmas tree :)

I designed a new game called Card Miner with an online leaderboard. Discover cards and form poker hands while you dig and delve!

It needs a desktop browser to work right now

Let me know how deep you can get in the mines! I'm curious to see how far someone can go

This is with Opus 4.5. It tackles whatever I throw at it. Making sophisticated personal software utilities has now become almost effortless

Another thing it did: DL'd my Ars articles, calculated embeddings, and now I have a local article search site with links

I gave Claude Code the Rygar ROM file and said: pull the sprites from this. It tried one method and said they were compressed. Then I suggested, is there a JavaScript NES emulator you can run? It found one, downloaded it, ran it, then built this web interface for me to browse the extracted tiles...

I've wanted a Katamari Damacy game with Xmas theme for years. With Claude Code AI coding tool, I just made a playable demo, and it's fun!

It's likely no one else will ever play this. We've entered the age of Personal Media: custom entertainment (video, music, games) created for one person to enjoy

Primitive graphics, but this is 5 minutes worth of work for AI...we are both walking around a snowy neighborhood delivering presents to houses together. You can go in the houses too, it's crazy

I am proud to present to you a very special message from Santa Claus taken from the Nov/Dec 1994 issue of CompuServe CD, which was a short-lived multimedia "magazine" distributed on CD.
