I was once rescued by a pack (drove, herd, pace?) of wild donkeys in the Australian outback on a pitch dark night. They surrounded me, guided me to a road, then turned around and left.
Side note: Donkeys make the _weirdest_ noises. Straight up movie-ghost sounds.
