I mean sure yes but the people who put together and run the infrastructure and service that does this also have some responsibility

See I can't worry about AI apocalypse when this stuff happens and we're not doing anything about it. We have AI problems today and no will or ability to act against the companies and people responsible

if it had come our he used to have the tatoo and already had it covered up years ago I'd be more open to buying either the reformed Nazi or idiot who didn't know any better story. But he literally had it until a couple days ago.

Also he speaks glowingly about being a guard in Fallujah so...

I do not disagree. I just don't think that Bolivia is an example of purely peaceful protests ousting a government. I also agree that the realities in both countries is very different and it's unrealistic to expect the same tactics to work in both places.

after the coup government said they'd delay elections cause COVID, there was mass disruption caused by weeks of blockades. The economy slowed to a crawl.

Direct action and pressure was what forced the government to cave

In Bolivia protests usually means felling trees and dumping dirt to block roads. In a large sparsely populated country with few key arteries, it's impossible to overstate how much this direct pressure matters. People suffered under the blockades and it's insulting to compare them to western parades.
October 16, 2025 at 6:47 AM
Nonsense. In Bolivia the "big liberal protests movements" involved blockading all the country's key roads for weeks, which is direct action. The economy was forced to reduce to a crawl and that's what got the government to hold elections. Direct action and pressure.
