Seeing every media outlet in the US use the term "Somalian" this week because Trump used it.

Pretty clear majority sides with Eby on this question. I suspect Albertans would react the same way if BC was trying to build 50 GW of wind in Alberta over the objections of their elected leaders.

American cities will finally get something resembling a bike lane network, but for the exclusive use of trillion dollar companies with robot fleets.

I think hiring writers, motion and voice actors significantly adds to the costs of production.

Whistler could not be worse. Workers living in Dickensian bunk houses, four to a room down the road from thousands of 10+ million dollar mansions that sit empty 49 weeks a year.

On the other hand, it is normalizing fractional state ownership in key assets. Something pretty normal in the rest of the world.

The same things that constrain LLMs will end up limiting human thought. AI scientists have been saying that a lack of a "world model" severely prohibits the ability of these tools to understand reality. If LLMs become the primary means of information, humans will inherit the same deficiency.

The REC idea is interesting. Has anyone done any back of the napkin math on how much revenue this could direct toward a new nuclear build?

Also, what proportion of generation in a state like NY needs to be firm? It looks like you already have 25-30% nuclear/hydro.

I don't think the Mayor of New York has much influence on nuclear power buildouts or licensing. Is someone proposing that a greenfield nuclear reactor be built within NYC city limits?
