Amongst all LHR, his slider is 9th in Stuff+ and his sinker is 3rd. The Brewers can definitely get more out of him.

By boned, I mean that we would be able to spend less than we already do. The worst case scenario would be selling players earlier because we are hamstrung with a bad contract.

Brewers probably are hesitant to pay for that talent. If we swing for Alonso for instance and it goes the way of Rhys Hoskins, we are boned for 5 years.

To lower costs you need a group in power that actually wants costs to go down. There isn’t a group in power to do that.

Logistically you cut out insurance companies that do not benefit anyone and fund hospitals directly. They have to exist and be functional, not necessarily profitable.

The Chris Davis deal was far worse. This gives them a solid 3 year window. Only 35 at the end of the contract.

I agree. It isn’t a good system. But the immidiate choice is, subsidies or people go without health care.
