Can't have educated Proles now, can we?

Deform welcoming a lot of Tories into their ranks treating this as some sort of victory. Fromage really has no idea what lies in store as the Tory opportunists will inevitably tear Deform apart in real time before his eyes.

And I'm here for it.

A lot do nowadays sadly. The last time I went to Shul was with my aunt in the 80s in London and the only person on the door was a fellow making sure we were dressed appropriately. How times have changed.

Great to see the same levels of juvenile victimhood and general snowflakery (always the extremists, on both sides) remains high on Facebook. You'd think they'd understand how social media works by now.

The fact we have arcade game historians is pretty darn epic in my opinion.

Arcade games historians! I need the name of a trackball arcade game that I played in the early 80s that was like a space invaders-style shooting game, but featured a circle sort of thing in the middle that I had to defend from being attacked from all round? I had to spin the ball to move my guns??

I'm getting there thanks to some wonderful people and plenty of rest, which I didn't think I needed. Malingering is hard work you know.

Apologies for the delay in sharing my latest Flight Craft author photo on the recently released F-35 title now available from @penandswordbooks.bsky.social there’s a reasonably good reason for this.

Check the alt caption for the full *story.

*No motorcycles or horses were involved.
As the sharp eyed among you all may have noticed I have a new addition in my life; a chair with wheels (foot plates are now adjusted). So what happened?
On the evening of 14 September I was taken into hospital with a suspected stroke. Thankfully a CT scan showed I had not suffered a stroke, but I have been diagnosed with Functional (dissociative) seizures (FDS) a clinical feature of Functional neurological disorder (FND) (I think the hospital were doing a two-for-one offer). While FDS and FND, a physical manifestation of trauma is one way to put it, are not life threatening they are life changing and annoyingly there is no direct treatment or pharmacological intervention for either of these disorders.
As a neurological condition FNDs are considered as debilitating as Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease and Epilepsy, so the recovery phase means I'm currently adapting to a new lifestyle practically, emotionally and socially over the coming months. Occupational Therapy have begun the living and home adaptions, Neurology will get their grubby mitts on me in due course, Physiotherapy will help strengthen my limbs (images of preening PTIs are charging through my mind for some reason) and Speech and Language Therapy are stepping up as my swallow reflex is lagging and will they will hopefully help me manage the slurred speech I experience from time to time.
I'm still learning and the past few weeks have been a sharper learning and acceptance curve than I had anticipated. My wife Anne and our daughter Fizz, the Skipper family, all of our close friends and the NHS and Veterans Agency staff have all been phenomenally supportive, and without them I seriously dread to think what if be doing right now.
It’s not all bad though. I’ll always have a chair, I’ll never have to worry about an MoT again, and I’ll save a fortune in footwear.
Per Ardua Ad Astra!
