There was a very good documentary a few years ago called "Hitler's Hollywood" about the Nazi studios cranking out Goebbels' garbled interpretations of Hollywood formula -- and boy did that give me flashbacks to Picard reading the Mirror-Universe "Merchant of Venice".

Based on how much more I enjoyed their movies for their mannered language and general weirdness (Ethan) than for their existential tendencies and thematic intricacies (Joel?), I'd've thought I'd enjoy Ethan going solo -- but Joel seems to have been the one who kept things looking vaguely competent.
