The tediousness continues. Have a great day - you’re boring me now. Your boorish attitude isn’t helping the cause of converting people to support e-bikes on the slightest. Bye!

You’re quite a tedious person. It’s clear we both understand each other’s points, and yet you persist. I suspect we aren’t eve that far apart in our opinions, given I’m a fan of e-bikes and you presumably are too, and also you presumably acknowledge some are de-limited and go dangerously fast.
January 8, 2026 at 1:15 PM
How about the whole thread, where you seem happy that e-bikes are limited to 15.5mph, and don’t acknowledge many many de-limited bikes exceed this?
January 8, 2026 at 12:36 PM
I’m all in favour of e-bikes to be clear. I think they are a social good. But de-limited / illegal ones are dangerous and I’m confident the stats in future will bear this out. I drive an electric moped and am amazed at the people overtaking me at >30mph on souped up bikes, no helmets or road sense
January 8, 2026 at 12:34 PM
It’s not clueless. It’s reality. Where did I (or the OP) say e-bikes are *allowed* to go 25mph? We didn’t. We are making the point that they *do* go that fast, because so many are de-limited. And it’s dangerous, and little is done about it.
January 8, 2026 at 12:30 PM
You worked for major UK newspapers but can’t spell Traitors?
January 8, 2026 at 9:39 AM
What it has to do with it is that there are e-bikes going at 25mph silently and they are dangeorus, and there are plenty of them. That’s all OP’s point was. You seem in denial that they are out there and being ridden dangerously
January 8, 2026 at 9:37 AM
I think you’re spreading naivety. These bikes are too easy to modify and the police do nothing about them so the OP’s point is correct, they are whizzing about at 25mph and silently and they are dangerous
January 8, 2026 at 9:36 AM
Do you think the people de-limiting these bikes care what you think, or follow those motorbike laws?

OP’s point was e-bikes shouldn’t go 25mph. I agree. Whether it’s manufacture or enforcement, something should be done about 2-wheel vehicles whizzing past me at 30mph+ with no helmet & no pedaling
January 7, 2026 at 10:48 PM
I’m not sure this is quite the clever comeback you think it is
January 7, 2026 at 10:44 PM
You can buy them here in the UK and they are easy to de-limit. If you think that even half of the e-bikes in the UK are actually going at a max 15.5mph then I have a bridge to sell you
January 7, 2026 at 9:25 PM
Class 2 e-bikes have throttles and don’t need you to pedal to accelerate you fast. There are many of these around in the UK
January 6, 2026 at 5:37 PM
Are you claiming that you have not seen a de-limited electric bicycle zooming past you at 25mph, even 35mph sometimes, with zero pedaling going on? They are rife in London
January 6, 2026 at 12:57 PM
See above for how to craft this into a joke
January 5, 2026 at 5:16 PM
Why would you need a separate app for that? Just have a conversation with your partner and find someone on any normal dating service
December 27, 2025 at 9:08 AM
Are you a on the shoulder, or off the shoulder?

🤗
December 23, 2025 at 5:16 PM
Well that’s quite a world view. Happy Christmas to you, I hope you find some joy this time of year
December 23, 2025 at 4:27 PM
I’m not sure you can change the world like that. People want to have children and always will; not too long ago families needed many children because so many died in childbirth/ infancy. It’s great you’ve made a personal decision but I don’t think it makes you superior to those who continue humanity
December 23, 2025 at 1:57 PM
😂
December 23, 2025 at 12:57 PM
Well for starters, growing pop’n has likely led to more inventors, scientists, specialists who can help us solve the world’s issues. In developed countries like ours it’s helped expand the tax intake to support older generations too. Rapid population decline would lead to major issues in many areas
December 23, 2025 at 12:57 PM
In the meantime, I’m trying to prepare my children to be good global citizens and contribute to society, helping pay for the generations above them through their taxes and NI payments. Perhaps they’ll grow up to be the scientists or eco farmers the world will need.
December 23, 2025 at 12:54 PM
I suspect I’ll die too at some point.
December 23, 2025 at 12:51 PM
Fine. What are you personally doing to prepare for the upkeep? Is it simply not having children, or are you doing something else useful?
December 23, 2025 at 11:55 AM
2/2). So we’re not increasing pop’n at all. Do you really want fewer babies in future to pay for your state pension, and give us a strong economy overall, and be the nurses, doctors and carers who will look after you? I’m all for people having babies responsibly, but we do need some of them!
