I was subject to a "casual stop" by the blues and had to unlock my phone for inspection. "Unlock this phone or we will sieze it."
They gave no reason for this action. Apparently being a pedestrian is suspicious activity. After a few moments browsing they returned it. "Am I free to go?"

Do not carry your smart phone in public. Buy a cheap flip phone $20 and one year card $100. Its cheap insurance against invasive "casual stops" conducted at random by the blues. Its for on the road emegencies. Keep contacts list to a minimum. Don't consent to search. Invoke the 5th and STAY silent.
