I am surprised about the Chainsawman manga though. I loved part 1 personally. But none of the sexual themes overstayed their welcome for me personally. If they did for you, then yeah, it can be off-putting.

Whoever suggested Solo Leveling was on a mission to piss you off. That show is….all the most shallow but flashy, and worst parts of anime rolled into one.

The Metroid franchise has had human characters who talk, and the Alien franchise which metroid homages has plenty of quips and humor. We will have to see.

There’s a lesbian character in an anime called Psycho Pass who is introduced in this way.
While I didn’t really like how that intro was handled, the show did develop her into one of my favorite characters.
Granted, this show is still about cops, so might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but still.
