I'm a bit puzzled, because from what I've read, studies seem to indicate that the antibodies generated by A/Croatia/10136RV/2023 (H3N2) in the current formulation seem to be pretty effective against subclade K—in the range of 52–57%—which is about what past flu vaxxes have given. Thoughts?

The article didn't mention that DMT frequently produces hallucinations of "machine elves." It sounds somewhat similar to the description, except DMT trips are much shorter.

An issue to consider in the AUS 2ndry wave is that protective titers from the flu vaccine generally persist for ~3–6 months in most healthy adults. So, a significant percentage of vaccinated Australians have lost their protection by now. And I gather the winter wave was H1N1, but is now H3N2.

Unfortunately this K variant of A(H3N2) is still holding on in AUS as summer begins—and it created a secondary peak in BRA. This doesn’t bode well if it follows the same pattern here. Especially since NAbs from our fall vaccinations will fade by Spring.

Because it’s superficially nice. The grass is too even and short. The trees in the background don’t look like a temperate species. Once you spot the phoniness it looses its sincerity.

Heck, people are blocking each other for polite disagreements—which seems to be muting legitimate discourse. For all its faults X seems to allow for more diversity of opinion—but you need to have a thick skin to deal with all the assholes.

Thanks for posting! Personal anecdata: when I lived in Hong Kong, I couldn't go 3 months w/o catching a URTI. When I returned to the US and set up housekeeping with my GF and her 3yo son—she caught all his daycare colds—but I seemed to be immune. It lasted a couple of years until kindergarten.
