As usual, spot fucking on. Everything you just said is absolutely correct. Tik Tok now feels incredibly tainted to me, and I did delete it this morning. I just don't trust it anymore. But we need to come together somehow on a forum where we feel safe to do so. This is the time to come together.

I'm slowly working on it. I have had Facebook since I was 17 years old, and there are A LOT of memories, including tons of pictures of my son. I need to move those over here to Blue sky before I can fully delete the app, and that is going to take awhile.

It is SO frustrating as an educator to watch these kids read books like Animal Farm, and hear the lessons that come from them and from things that actually happened in history books, and pay zero attention. I hate that living it in real time is going to be what it takes for them to get it.

I don't understand what the point was?! It lasted a whole what 15 hours? What is going on? What's it distracting us from? What is the point in playing with the people who do use this as a source of income and so many other reasons?!

I have been wondering if anyone else is talking about that. What was the point? Are we being distracted from something bigger? Was it meta's way of taking over? What are your thoughts?
