The influence of tech influencers really needs to be curtailed.
The key factor here is whether or not the game requires PSN access to work. Features that require PSN will not function while PSN is down. Most single player games, regardless of delivery medium, will still work. Physical media games requiring PSN access will not work.

My Dell XPS 9360 Developer Edition has been running Linux since 2016. I upgraded the SSD & replaced the battery. 9 years in & it still does every development task, & connects via USB C to a 38 inch ultra wide screen, with apps, & browser tabs spread across 9 KDE Activities w/ 6 virtual desktops each
