Just FYI for all you Torontonians out there who don't spend much time in other cities: Your subway system doesn't work. It's not normal for trains to stop regularly for "service adjustments" or for service to stop between multiple stations for days at a time. This doesn't happen elsewhere.

For those without the French: the Québec government - which vehemently denies that it is Islamophobic and systemically racist - has just blocked an academic appointment for a professor who studies Islamophobia and systemic racism. They have said they do not have to explain themselves.

It's World AIDS Day today, and though I feed my algorithms plenty of international stuff, with a heavy emphasis on sub-Saharan Africa, the only AIDS Day mentions I'm getting involve European and North American gay boys who died in the 90s.
