I'm talking about a platform with similar ease of use (sorry Mastodon) out of reach of the current US regime or VCs.

Bluesky seems to be sanitising the platform with a new TOS and biased moderation. Probably to attract advertisers and investors. They're not transparent about certain new decisions

So, who's going to create a EU based, EU privacy-laws abiding version of Twitter/Bluesky?
Since this one is making more and more questionable choices to appeal to (probably American, thus authoritarian) investors and will suffer more and more from US surveillance.
Now seems like a good time to do it

Because Accountants and Tax Advisors are not on the list I know for sure it's biased bullsh*t.
Unexpectedly Illustrator is not on the list.
And they expect AI to suddenly grow legs to do Reporter and Journalist jobs?

I had more tiers in the past too. With benefits like making requests.

But they weren't used much and higher tiers with more exclusive content, just meant more stress.

So I scrapped those. First and foremost the Patron is for you and what you want to share.

I do something similar. All my assets are in a semi public drive, but the link to the drive is only given to Patrons. The link is accessible "for life" since I am not checking if someone is still a patron or not (or if the link is being shared).
I consider it more of a tip jar or a show of support.
