Today I've learned that the update prompts in filezilla ftp client aren't a bug, but a feature. They have an obsolescence timer after approx. 3 months that triggers a nagging popup on every startup.

So I'll update - by uninstalling filezilla and using any other FTP program.

I appreciate subdivs in Blender more thanks to @oddenough.art. I try to work with only one mesh full of data and keep connected parts so I can "select linked" on them.
Came up with a small geo node network today...

Quick load test on how much geometry and how many entities I can roughly get away with in one Half-Life 1 level nowadays. I'm happy with the results. :D
