The only upside of the paperweight was its engine and design. The rest was a mess, reminiscent of the LHX helicopter debacle, which resulted only in two Comanche RAH-66 prototypes. The project was canceled after Sikorsky charged the Army around $7 billion.
The F35 ALIS system has to “phone home” to Texas before allowing the plane to operate.
This is a weakness that can be exploited, by design, by a hostile American government.

Can someone with a military background explain why this isn’t an act of war? The victim is a “US-flagged” vessel “at anchor in the North Sea and carrying huge amounts of jet fuel for the US military.” The deliberate attack’s aggressor is a Russian captain.

The shift in the US economy from manufacturing to services was driven by corporations seeking cheaper labor abroad, unrelated to tariffs or unions. Suggesting that educated individuals should return to low-pay tasks like soldering circuit boards seems impractical.
Someone needs to explain to our Sec of Commerce how capitalism works.
