Josh Frydenberg is a hypocrite. He is happy to mock and deride Hindus, yet attacks anyone who dares criticise Israel for its genocide of Palestinians, calling out those anti-genocidal views as being ‘anti Semitic’.

These remarks drew criticism from Australian Hindus, with the Hindu Council of Australia calling them "brazen, racist and Hindu-phobic" and "derisive and very offensive". Critics felt he used sacred traditions for political gain.

He also referenced "robes flowing, incense burning, beads in one hand, wellbeing budget in the other" and mockingly referred to yoga poses.

Specifically, Frydenberg stated:
