This is the best photo I’ve seen of No Kings Fort Worth in the pouring rain. I didn’t carry an umbrella on purpose. It was childlike and joyful to be dripping wet and not care. Soaked and not cold? Easy. Crowd estimate: 8-10k.

My father, born in 1924, served in the Marines during WWII. On July 4th mornings he would blast Sousa marches to wake us up.
He was a lifelong Republican. He would not recognize this GOP of Trump. Sousa marches are now my call to action to defend American democracy. @maddow.msnbc.com
