I’m not sure of either choice entirely. But the entrepreneurial spirit seems to be given a lot of weight these days, and from that alone I would guess if someone had duplicated it, we would likely know by now.

whatever Bytedance has developed in that regard will never be shared, I wouldn’t think. so it would have to be developed from scratch. considering the popularity of TT, folks have likely attempted to duplicate it for years without success.

I’m going to butt in completely unwarranted here to suggest that the most valuable asset of TikTok was its algorithm which would likely be very difficult to duplicate-especially the ability to tailor the user feed so specifically. Would love to see a company try, though.
