We’ve had activity in Maple Grove and Monticello, with unconfirmed sightings in Otsego and Elk River, so it appears the surge is here. Definitely active in St Cloud - I’m sure to terrorize the large Somali population there.

It is. I work directly with youth experiencing homelessness where even when they do get SNAP, it’s not enough to keep them from going hungry. The trauma this administration is inflicting is unconscionable.

Are we in court yet to fight the newest attack (cutting off all USDA funding- food stamps - to MN)? Because this just applies to the earlier cuts the administration made, correct?

I work with young adults experiencing homelessness and witness this every day — they don’t have the bandwidth for anything else if they’re hungry or tired, and with SNAP benefits paused, the situation is even more dire.

I’ve always had a hard time comprehending how the Rwandan genocide could happen (neighbors killing neighbors, etc.). I hate that I can see it more clearly now.

My kids always want them so we always buy a bucket we never finish. I turn them into ice cream cookie sandwiches. Slap a dollop of ice cream between two cookies, wrap in plastic wrap, and freeze. That’s the only way we eat the ones we bring home.

I’m so glad you were able to enjoy it! Try as I might to grow strawberries for us, the rabbits always get there first. :)
