Canadian-American and really glad to be north of the border these days. Haven't had an X account since Twitter acted like BlueSky.
We made a batch of scrapple with cornmeal once. I liked it. We tended to use those bits for mincemeat, though, and canned it. Yes, you saw that right, the recipe was called Down On The Farm Hog's Head Mincemeat.

It's about the type of oil it is. The refinery infrastructure of Texas is set up for the type that comes out of Venezuela and Canada (hence the fierce back and forth over the Keystone Pipeline from Alberta down to Texas).

It's possible Trump has exhausted the effectiveness of the tariff lever as the rest of the world realigns. In other words, we may have hit Peak Tariff. What happens with Europe over Greenland, and likely Canada over China will be telling.

You're trolling, right? The footage from every camera, including now the perpetrator's body cam, is extremely clear that that what you're claiming isn't what happened at all.

The first death panel has convened.

The NYC Mayoral primary was the clearest litmus test I can imagine for why Trump has been able to cakewalk into his position as Emperor.

Evel Knievel tried to get me to convince my mom to go out with him. It was the 70's. I was tempted.

I knew him in the days before the "neocon" term was coined as he floated through DC. He was a complete POS, and the world is a better place without him

Let's don't get too far ahead of ourselves. The good guys won by a less commanding margin than we'd like. We have plenty of our own homegrown forces of conservatism and fascism, and lots of them think Trump is just dandy

He's got some pretty strong competition among in his own advisors. Lookin' at you Stephen Miller, Elon Musk, and Steve Bannon!

I note that the supportive political scientist is a is an elderly white retired male academic. He thinks Trump's doing a great job bringing manufacturing jobs back to America (like furniture making in NC) despite his not actually bringing furniture making back to NC.

I'd add inability to keep secrets to "Pluses" column given Hegseth and the latest with Noem and the purse heist.

I'm thinking Madison Cawthorn. Another handsome, white, lying sack of shit. He may be considered a DEI hire, though, since he's in wheelchair. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madison...
