I can't believe any trump voters seriously thought they were voting for a presidential candidate that was actually against abortion. Meanwhile, the rest of us KNEW that he was capable of tossing (or standing by while someone else did it) a newborn into lake Michigan.

Petty "leaders" who pick fights and call names don't win Nobel Peace Prizes. And we all know that's what the cheating Cheeto wants. You can't bully your way to peace.

Regardless of how often it happens, I still get ridiculously excited when my (nearly?) perfect pitch lets me start singing a song in the correct key before the song begins. Or when someone plays a chord or a note, & I say, "That's the beginning to such and such song." We check, & I'm always right. 🤓

Today I said something about juggling pineapples, after I accidentally tossed a piece of pineapple up and then accidentally also caught it, moving my hands around while eating and talking. And THIS is the fortune cookie fortune that my 17 year old got today:

Way too weird to be a coincidence!

10 years ago, if a man had told me to smile, I would have politely complied.

This year, I just looked at him like he was speaking a foreign language and then turned around and got back to smiling at my friend, which I had been doing most of the evening. 🩷

13 yr old little brother: whips out his clarinet: "I can do an A flat scale."

17 yr old big sister, singing: 🎶 "doh re mi fa so la ti doh" 🎶

13 yr old boy: "No, we don't do that one."

At least once per day, I want to throw my echo devices in the trash and try Google home. I'm so sick of how glitchy they are and how crappy the app is.

It's so hard to be supportive of someone else's dream when it's the opposite of your own. 🥲

This weekend was the best weekend I've had in a very long time. Just missing one person.

Making/sharing AI videos of dropping poop on people they don't like is something I would expect from a middle schooler. Before 2016, I never imagined the United States would have a president who shares things like that.

We've reached the FO part of FAFO. At least as far as my Facebook feed goes. People who ignored my warnings about project 2025 are now posting, shocked and upset that the federally or state funded thing they relied upon is no longer funded.

One day you're just a teenager who thinks she's going to grow up and be cool and then the next thing you know you're buying candlestick holders and you collect old books. The end.

Always daydreaming about someday. I will never understand why things worked out the way they did, but I have hope for a happy reunion, someday.

In the meantime, I think of them every single day, & dream of them often.

Every now and then, you meet someone and just know that they're meant to be in your life. Maybe for a short time, or maybe for forever. You just know that it's good.

I love when that happens.

"I know you're sorry, but where's my apology?"

- quote from The Chicks that I have somehow managed not to repeat in conversation with people who repeatedly screw up in the worst ways & never seem to actually put in the work to change

There are people out there getting their butts kicked at Fortnite by an 11 year old kid & his almost 40 yr old mom.

One of my childhood core memories is the big fancy house that had gate posts with black iron penguins on them, in which I was CERTAIN The Penguin from Batman lived in.

Later, as an adult, I drove by & someone had painted the penguins to look like bald eagles.

(They were bald eagles the whole time)

I keep thinking I'm not reading enough, but 31 books in 6 months really isn't bad.

I still feel like I should be reading more, though.

Some people convince themselves (and others) that someone else is a villain, in order to justify their harmful choices, so they can keep making them.
