Is it me, or did Trump create ICE as a reward to all his Jan 6 scoundrels? Because the vibe is alarmingly similar. #ICE #January6 #brownshirts

I've long said: elect imperfect democrats and get a seat at the table to push them toward your preferred policy. Otherwise you get republicans, and not only will you lose your seat at the table - you'll lose the whole damn table.
Shocked at how many Dems on here think they shouldn't have to make any concessions, on any issue, ever, no matter where the voters stand.

If you truly believe the Dem platform should have zero flexibility and that any concession is a betrayal then you can't really complain when you lose.

Important words to read on the heels of my 35th 🐅 reunion.
Fifty years after he was graduated from Princeton University, Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell delivered the baccalaureate address at his alma mater.

This is how he ended the speech:

Scolding people for wanting to tune out is exactly the wrong approach. Give them something other than Trump outrage of the day to tune INTO and spur ACTION. Doom scrolling is not being a good citizen and it's not accomplishing anything.

2 little changes seriously elevated Thanksgiving dinner 2024: spatchcocked, dry-brined roast turkey and deconstructed green bean “casserole.” Mashed & sweet potatoes, herbed stuffing, giblet gravy, and ribbed canned cranberry remained deliciously standard. 🍽️ #food #foodie #foodporn #foodsky

look up…
The lesson here is obvious – look up from your food, look up from your computer, look up from your phone. Relish that tiresome effort to adjust your eyes and strain to refocus…again and again…

Spent most of the last 10 days in a dissociative funk, so naturally I decided it was the perfect time to learn how to bake bread. My Impatience Bread: not quite a baguette, but almost a ciabatta. 🍜
