I was well prepared for this snow day; brought home my laptop and a stack of paperwork that needs worked on. So far I've roasted a butternut squash, made rice, and read the newspaper. Shrug.

Have to leave home today for a bday party, but then I don't plan to leave the house for days. Which is typical for me anyway. I have beer & wine of both the alcoholic & NA variety. I'm planning to make bread. Slow cook BBQ chicken. And brownies. Definitely brownies. I'm set. I live for this sh*t.

If there's anything that can quantify who I am as a person, it's the fact that I put together a grocery order and the total is $100 but the number of items is 11. Do I get rid of one item to have 10? No. Because some of those items are wine.

I work in a very large office with a lot of unnecessary trash cans, so a coworker decided we should attempt one communal trash receptacle. I never realized how many post-its I run through in a day. I've resorted to making tiny trash piles and periodically taking them to the other room.
