Who actually reads that, do you know? It's about as entertaining as that low-energy hunched over the desk chalky-voiced tired drab nonsense he spewed at the UN and in front of the generals.

...they believe that Greens are anti-economy. Other progressive parties tend to capitalize on that notion, i.e. work against each other. There's also a tendency on the left to squabble and nitpick, leading to stuff like not voting for Kamala Harris. I think we must drop what we're doing & regroup.
bettinaschwarzen.bsky.social
As clarification: it does not look like specific policies are what makes most voters tick, or tick ballot boxes. Arguably, parties converging on shared goals (see post) & are clear on what they oppose and why have a better chance to get through.
Hereabouts, some progressives don't vote green bc...

Not saying fusion or giving up their own policies. But working together as staunchly democratic, progressive parties against the tide. Show how pro-economy and pro-ecology and climate enhance each other. Instead of fighting each other for progressive votes. Just an idea though, from a Swiss to boot!

"sabotages TV to check paranoia"

"realizes his mistake"

At least the paranoia thing is settled though.

If you don't yet, do follow @amywestervelt.bsky.social @drilledmedia.bsky.social @maxboykoff.bsky.social @drkatemarvel.bsky.social on why people seem so deaf to our climate predicaments. Spoiler: they don't get told how the solutions would benefit them while delay costs them and benefits the few.
amywestervelt.bsky.social
Said it before, will probably die saying it, we are never going to solve the climate disinfo problem if we don't fix media. As @maxboykoff.bsky.social notes here, the public by and large learns about climate change via the media, so if the media trades in false equivalence, it's damaging!

Today, a look at the role the media has played in climate obstruction, with @maxboykoff.bsky.social and Melissa Aronczyk: drilled.media/podcasts/dri...

They should be growing together, as partners, showing how an inclusive, just, responsible economy and nature-positive, climate-stabilizing, people-empowering politics result in win-wins for the country, ending the destruction of natural and social capital for the sake of crackpots and billionaires.

It's Lake Zurich, Switzerland. But we do get waves from boats... I hear it's way too calm for serious sailing :-)

Question that needs to get asked of politicians much more...

We need widespread deployment of sun and wind to limit the climate crisis
But it could limit the oligarch crisis too

Watcha want... baby we got it 🎶

Out with the polluting stuff and its cost dumped on our health and our communities, and in with clean renewable energy and the independence it grants us.

Hmm. With solar energy, the big explosions take place 93 million miles away

A fireball lit up the sky across the Los Angeles area on Thursday night after an explosion at a Chevron refinery in El Segundo, alarming nearby residents who said it felt like an earthquake. The cause of the explosion was not clear. No injuries were reported. nyti.ms/42pPCaW

Hope it felt better to write than to read! Nodding vigorously doesn't make up for the aftertaste of being unable to answer why we've come here after so many hundreds of years of hapless rulers on thrones and at the head of the kitchen table, right when it felt safe to think we're past that?
