On a grey December day, I decided to visit the hide at Hillers Farm Shop and look at the Christmas treats. The Merlin app said there was a Brambling nearby, but I couldn’t see it, so not sure if it was accurate or not #UKBirding

I had the hide to myself at Severn Valley Country Park this morning and this beautiful Kingfisher was very active. Also saw Redwings, Siskins and a Greater Spotted Woodpecker #UKBirding

Only a quick visit to RSPB Sandwell Valley this morning as the football kicks off early. But conditions were beautiful (if cold) and the Parakeets were showing very well. There were also Redwings, Song Thrush, Sparrowhawk and Mandarin duck around.

Storm Amy didn’t stop me visiting WWT Slimbridge today, where duck numbers seem to be on the rise. Good to see large numbers of Teal and quite a lot of Wigeon too. Black-tailed Godwits in there too #UKBirding
