To those who think Dems should continue to hold the line - to what end? Reps will see the error of their ways and decide to negotiate? I don’t see that happening. They don’t care that the government is shut down - they’ll be sorry to open it. There’s no good outcome until we elect more Dems

Let me get this straight - we sent hundreds of Venezuelans to El Salvador so that the president of El Salvador could trade them back to Venezuela for Salvadoran prisoners? Is this our new trade policy?

I hope democrats have a think tank working now on how they will rebuild the economy and the government in a way that prevents billionaires from taking over everything. Maybe even prevents billionaires. I’d prefer we not need to start from scratch, but if the slate is wiped clean, anything goes.

He had a golf tournament to get to.

The only relevant political point is that Republican members of Congress are all supporting these tariffs 100%. They could stop them at any moment. Each day is on them. Everyone with a messaging bullhorn needs to make that clear. They can pull the plug now or pay the price at the polls next year.
