And you know, they can always be spending money outside of the country, so when it all collapses, and they take their riches with them, there will be riots, but no one accountable.

Oh, the good mother trope again (assuming that bad ones just trust the experts, and that motherhood=saintly, vs. harlot-like - the only two possible ‘types’ of women).

He should refer to grandmas instead, who collectively understood (and advocated for) the wisdom of a fresh breeze and clean air.

It is really interesting to me that the costs of this technology are not really clear to most people that I know. Fortunately, I was born before computers were widespread, and learned to use tech that’s helpful. This is just ‘garbage in and garbage out’ as they say in design.

I just noticed a post on my FB feed for a community program through the township that will be tracking fitness and participation data through an AI app of some kind. I posted a comment that made it very clear that I resented the use of this technology being foisted on the general public.

Yes, this makes sense. It allows Trump to think that he is still in charge of everything that we do, and that he gave his tacit approval. This avoids the severe reaction that he had when Ontario launched its anti-tariff ad campaign. Also,Trump has mused about tiny EV cars being produced in the US

Somebody needs to tell him that alpha males in the animal kingdom are actually the very model of PM Carney. Such a blithering, unattractive example of a male like Bannon is doomed to failure as an evolutionary branch.

And then along come those afraid of it all, due to entrenched ignorance.

I’ve always thought there’s very little point in being a fancy monkey, if you don’t use the things that make us unlike our nearest relatives.

Well, your answer pulled up this piece in a search. So, that’s what I learned today, thanks to you and the OP!

Thank you! That’s very informative.

This is less perspective than it is worst case scenario, but I bet that a lot of Americans that support military intervention outside the US do not understand the differences between attacking Greenland & Venezuela. So much identity is wrapped up in the military industrial complex in the USA.

I wonder why elephants have 7? Do they get cancers? What else might that protein do for them?

It is fascinating to me what we can learn from the biology of other species. I am not sure that this is correct, but I have read that the new GLP meds are based on discoveries on metabolism of reptiles.

I noticed a few references to P53, which comes up a lot in the development of cancer. As I understand it, when this protein is interrupted, tumour suppression is affected.

Whoever takes his place will have one helluva job undoing the damage. The world order will not ever be the same.
After just one year, they have pissed off pretty much everybody outside their border, and systems/infrastructure are on life support inside.
