A fun thing about this fantasy creatures collab with my 9yo son is that it challenges me to figure out crochet solutions for new shapes. Like this Airacuda ("like barracuda, but in the air") required a new body and neck design, a modification to my usual paw foot, and now I gotta make the wings 🤔

My 8yo son is his Mama's boy and is very into creating fantasy worlds, so we decided to team up: he makes fantasy world maps, and I crochet the creatures who live in his magical lands. This is our first collaboration, which he has named the Sandstalker!

Decided to break in the new account by going back to the beginning. Here are my first amis from spring 2021! 👶🏼 I started crocheting then as a way of keeping my hands busy on those pandemic evenings. I had a full-time job, a 4yo, a baby, and a lot of anxiety! 🧶

A very busy yarn filled day at Unravel Festival. This was half my stand!
