At Bexley we have a huge collection of images taken by amateur photographer Arthur Boswell. As well as local landmarks, he liked to photograph people, including his gardener whose dogs liked to pose for the camera. #EYAPets #ExploreYourArchive

Our new exhibition at #BexleyArchives looks at #music in the 1960s. Bexley Jazz Club at the Black Prince had a rhythm and blues club every Sunday. Performers include Ben E. King, Jeff Beck Group with Rod Stewart and Derek & the Dominos featuring Eric Clapton. Were you there? Who did you see?

Earlier this week Archives Officer Penny Duggan attended the 'Capturing Black History in Bexley' event at Titmuss Avenue Baptist Church. Seniors in Touch group members shared experiences of living in #Thamesmead and how it has changed over the years. #BlackHistoryMonth #oralhistory
