Actually, we do get bears in some of ourmountain-adjacent cities. Search "Altadena bear" or "Monrovia bear". And we definitely have rattlers in major cities like Tucson and Las Vegas.

I don't doubt that. I'm recalling from 5 decades ago (ahhh, the 70s!) that leaf was the predominate form when buying a bag, with buds here & there, but that was a long time (& about 22% less THC) ago. I mean, that's what my friends all told me. I never touched the stuff. It makes you blind & bald.😎

Why throw away the leaves? The light concentration of THC in that part of the plant produces the gentle buzz that used to be the norm, iirc. And makes the tea. And, if properly ground and augmented with a bag of chocolate chips, makes a pretty good batch of brownies.
