Thats why I feel like it would be nice to wrap up this chapter by including it in the opening medley, even if its partial! But you're right, its already available to watch so they probs wouldn't reheat their own nachos. Still, its hopeful thinking for someone who wishes they could've seen it live!

It's not that they've had no performance of it, but my understanding is that it was basically the title song of the original cancelled tour. While the PTD performances were spectacular events, they had limited stops- not a full world tour. "Full world tour" is pretty much all i mean by "as intended"

The PTD performances are another reason i think it would be nice to have it as an opening song for the future tour; like i imagine it being in a medley with RUN BTS or something!

Plus, its such a difficult song and performance, it would be kinda cute to use it as a way to send a message like "of course we've still got it, even after all this time"

To me, that would be far better than ignoring it or trying to forget that that shit ever happened (i.e. covid, enlistment, tour cancellation, the govt repeatedly trying to use BTS as it pleases throughout their military service, etc etc etc)

I think opening the tour with ON would be such a nice way to reclaim the meaning of that song with the added wisdom of hindsight, and give closure to these tumultuous past few years.

A song that was meant to be a manifesto for perseverance and a defiant battle cry to carry BTS+ARMYs through what they thought would be imminent military enlistment, unknowingly became a marker for the beginning of a period of hapless, gray, listlessness despite it's meaningful intentions.

It was released with such unfortunate timing (pandemic lockdowns) and consequently followed by a secondary limbo caused by military enlistment/exemption/delay looming over their shoulders.
