Oh, and the grey wash is the same Speedball ink. I just drop some onto a piece of scrap paper or a plastic palette and mix with water to get the color I need!

cont. As for dipping ink: I just use Speedball Super Black that I buy in the big 16oz bottles and squirt into a little glass jar. I like to mix it with drops of water to get a good flow in the nibs!

For this piece I used mostly Speedball nibs. A C-5 lettering nib for the thick lines, panel borders and lettering. I use a well worn in 102 nib for more "medium" lines, a 107 nib for some very very fine lines, and a Windsor & Newton Series 7 no. 2 brush for things like the hair and the grey wash.
