Snow in central Virginia...

We adopted a kitten today. Her name is Chavelle and we hate naming things, so it'll stick. Here's a picture of her at the shelter this afternoon. She's way too over stimulated to get a good photo at home. The other 2 cats can't believe we did this to them. The old lady (15) is especially mad.

We have a great spot for viewing the night sky, so long as you just want to look mostly straight up. Trees surround the yard. But there's one gap where I thought maybe I could spot the comet.

Taken from my phone at about 7:30 3 days ago. It's not very good but it made my week.
