I loved Goosebumps as a kid. It was my entry into horror...the way Coraline is for kids now. I had all the books, many of the VHS, and I even had a GB decked out pog set. But my most prized GB merch was my journal. A journal that only held one entry, "Dear God, I wish I was Goku so I could fly.”

Lerner is easily my favorite contemporary writer, and I had a blast investigating The Polish Rider. Through the lens of Berger and Bilmes, we can begin to understand how narrative reflects and actively shapes memory.

Housing is a human right—not a privilege. As 771K+ people were unhoused in the U.S. in 2024, we need systemic reform over punitive approaches.

In the face of mounting political aggression against the arts, education, and free expression, we must speak plainly: #publishing is not neutral.

The cult-classic romantic comedy, Chasing Amy, is neither romantic nor comedic. It’s a cautionary tale of arrested development disguised as a story of sexual awakening.

Check out my review on Substack.

Ebb & Flow drops 4/1! Originally published in 2017, the first edition had only 100 signed copies and limited online presence. I’m re-releasing it with a revised layout and over a dozen new poems. This work shaped my growth as a writer and connected me with amazing people. Excited to share it again!

With closing arguments in the Energy Transfer defamation case against Greenpeace set to begin today, it seemed like the perfect time to revisit the rights claims made by the Standing Rock Sioux tribe, and the time I attended a DAPL protest in downtown Dallas.
