I had a read and it's incredibly comprehensive and well-written - I expect this to become *the* foundation book on stats & ML basics in astro.

Transit of #exoplanet WD 1856+534 b across its white dwarf host star.

An unusual system where we see a small white dwarf star partially occulted by a giant planet every 1.4 days, resulting in a much deeper decrease in brightness than most exoplanet transits.

We started with some science hi-lights from NRAO this year, including this ridiculous (in a good way) image of convection cells on the surface of a star (that's not the Sun!) using 338GHz data from ALMA. www.nature.com/articles/s41... #astrosci 🔭
