The bill allows for teachers at all grade levels to acknowledge the existance of trans people. All education would still be age and grade appropriate. As a parent, I can share that trans kids exist and know who they are in elementary school. A bill like this would simply allow them to feel seen.

Californians, Gov. Newsom veto’d an education bill that included gender expansive language. You can call to express your disappointment, and to encourage him to still sign the remaining 8 LGBTQ+ safety & rights bills on his desk. His office’s number is 916-445-2841. I just did this. You can too.
