I don't consider myself a conservative, except in the sense that actions should be measured and consequences considered. Everything during that era felt like a panicked reaction: 'We've been attacked...we have to do something.'

New spending requires 60 votes in the Senate. Recision, only 50+1. Republicans can agree to Democrats' spending requests to get a bipartisan agreement on something, then...poof. It's gone. For example, see Lucy-Charlie-football.

The reality is that Portland was safe enough for >8000 people to run past the ICE building (and through other parts of the city) as part of the Oct 5, 2025 Portland Marathon.

I'm not sure peaceful rulebreaking is EXACTLY what they want. I think they want something more like the 2020 protests, not something that resembles the Dharasana Salt Works.
