COSMIC Viewer Update: I have resolved all known bugs with this project. Additionally, I’ve implemented keyboard navigation for the gallery and added the road map/todo list in the README.md file.

The image viewer is nearing a point release, and is now ready for users to start testing.

For installation instructions, visit codeberg.org/bhh32/cosmic.... If you find bugs, please file a report. If you have feature requests, submit an issue or comment on existing ones.

Packaging of the COSMIC DE 1.0.0 has begun for AerynOS! I’m so excited to be part of the AerynOS and COSMIC Desktop story! Hopefully, I can get the PR ready tonight to have it added to our volatile stream repo!

Trying my hand at self-hosting my own Forgejo instance! I’m checking out this free and open source alternative to GitHub! So far.. it’s better than GitHub has ever been, but also familiar. Hope I can make this work and only have my GitHub only have my showcase projects. Anyone else tried this? Tips?

@weeklyshowpodcast.bsky.social I’d like to see a show about getting away from trying to steer the country away from big tech companies. There are open source alternatives that are just as good or better that the software that they are delivering. I am a huge advocate, and am a contact for this topic
