SCORCHED GRACE was a quick read. The protagonist’s characterization is the strength of the novel. Sister Holiday is a messy queer ex-punk musician with a messy past in search of redemption. Now that we have a solid backstory for her, I hope the setting and mystery get more attention in book 2. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

A second-chance/forbidden love romance AND historical horror?! Lush prose, a strong sense of place, compelling protagonists, unique vampire lore, and social commentary? No wonder I loved this book! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thrilled to meet @isabelcanas.bsky.social & @sadiehartmann.bsky.social next week!
